Blood Moon: rules, rewards and timing
Short answer
Every week the blood moon sends 3 waves of zombies at every village, one after another through the night.
What it does
The blood moon rises once a week. Each wave is bigger than the last, and holding more waves pays more gold.
Waves can come down any road, so guards, gates and towers on all four sides matter. You get a warning before the first wave.

Tips
- Bind a full horde and post guards on all four sides before moonrise.
- Research Defense and upgrade towers; towers reach less far at night.
- A wrecked gate stays open for the next wave, so repair between waves.
