Scrapworks: cost, levels and upgrades

Short answer

The Scrapworks turns ruins into scrap, the material nearly every build, upgrade and expansion needs.

What it does

A Scrapworks makes scrap every hour. Upgrading it multiplies its output, and the build's mini-game grade decides how quickly it's done and how good the building turns out.

At level 3 you choose between quieter presses and a roaring furnace, and at level 5 between a salvage yard and a foundry. The table below lists what each path does.

Specialization paths

At levels 3 and 5 an upgrade asks you to pick one of two paths. The choice is permanent.

3	Roaring Furnace	25 % more scrap, but it roars: extra noise all day.
5	Salvage Yard	Your raids carry home 15 % more loot.

Tips

Build two early. Scrap is the material you run out of first in the opening days.
Your producers can't sit more than one level above your best Warehouse, so upgrade a Warehouse alongside them.
A loud village makes more but draws wild hordes. The Quiet Presses path keeps a Scrapworks silent.

How much does the Scrapworks cost in Voxhorde?

Building it costs 30 scrap, 15 timber and takes 2 min. The first upgrade, to level 2, costs 55 scrap, 25 timber and takes 4 min.

What is the Scrapworks's max level?

Level 10. Levels past 2 need island expansions: level 3 needs 2 and level 5 needs 3. Levels 6 to 10 also need a league reached at least once: Iron for 6, Steel for 7, Chrome for 8 and Warlord for 9 and 10.
