Revenge, bounties and coming back from a beating
Updated September 25, 2026. Figures come from the live game.
The short answer
Losing a defense opens a 24-hour revenge window: that raid ignores scouting range, keeps your shield up, loots 1.5× and earns 10 bonus trophies. You also get a 2-hour shield (6 after a heavy loss) and 3 hours of Rally at 1.5× production.
What you get after a loss
| What | How much | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Shield | 2 hours | 6 hours if the raid took a quarter of your stock or wrecked two buildings |
| Rally | 3 hours | Production 1.5× (stacks with Overdrive), binding costs 2 serum instead of 3 |
| Revenge | 24 hours | Up to five open at once |
| Stragglers | 3 zombies | If you're down to under three with nothing binding or out, at most every 12 hours |
Loot never leaves you under 40 scrap, 30 timber or 15 biomass, and your district is infected for 3 hours so nobody else can pile on.
Taking revenge
- Open History (or the post-defeat card) and tap Revenge on the lost defense.
- Plan the route. Revenge ignores your scouting range; the 48-step limit still applies.
- March. Your own shield stays up for a revenge raid.
- Win for 1.5× loot, +30 trophies and +10 revenge bonus.

Lost defenses inside the 24-hour window show a Revenge button.
Cleaning up an infection

While infected, a green Cleanup circle appears on the village.
Cleanup costs 8 biomass, clears the infection at once and grants an hour of shield. A Quarantine Kit (10 gold) does the same without the biomass.
Questions players ask
How long does a revenge window last?
24 hours from the lost defense. You can have up to five open at once.
Does a revenge raid drop my shield?
No. Revenge raids are the one kind of raid that keeps your shield up.
